Mikhail Bashkirov, anthropologist and documentary filmmaker, presents "Lightning's Insights," published by Babel Publishing House (Tel Aviv) with the support of the StraightForward Foundation. It's dedicated to the remarkable Alexander Gabyshev, a warrior shaman who set out on a cross-country trek to exorcise a demon from the Kremlin. Bashkirov walked part of the way with the shaman, and his book is not only a chthonic journey for truth but also a deeply personal statement about life, freedom, and justice.
Marina Izyumskaya and Mikhail Fikhtengolts are presenting a new book project—a guidebook around Berlin! Work on the book, which will be published next year, is already underway, and the authors have promised a rousing presentation at the fair.
