Presentation of Tatyana Volskaya's book "In the City of November" (Virgola Press)

The book "In the City in November" is a selection of poems by Tatyana Volskaya spanning 10 years, from 2015 to 2025. The book is compiled not from the poetry collections published during these years, but by year, in chronological order, and thus has the character of a poetic diary, albeit a highly condensed one, with all that is unimportant discarded. This is precisely why there are no thematic sections, and so-called civic lyrics are mixed with love and philosophy—the poetic flow is continuous, like life, where we work, make love, walk with children, clean the apartment, attend a protest, experience joy, sadness, fear, and fatigue all in the same day. Tatyana Volskaya's poems do not follow any fashionable trends; they embody direct speech and raw emotion, which the author transforms into art, just the right amount of it.
