Tatyana Lazareva was once one of Russia's most famous television presenters, an actress, a KVN contestant, and an iconic figure in entertainment television in the 1990s and 2000s. Today, she is the creator and host of video projects for teenagers and their parents, "Where Am I?" and "Where Am I Wrong?", exploring themes of freedom, responsibility, and human dignity.
In 2012, Tatyana Lazareva published "The World at First Sight." That same year, it was banned in Russia, withdrawn from sale, and scheduled for destruction. The author managed to buy and preserve a portion of the print run. Years later, despite fear and prohibitions, the book made its way to Europe and will be presented at the fair.
Today, Tatyana is working on a new project—a short comic book that will spark conversations between parents and teenagers. It's a book about fears on both sides: parents' anxiety for their children, and children's anxiety for their parents. It explores how fear ruins dialogue—and how conversation can help in a variety of situations.
Tatyana will discuss books that have survived against all odds, projects that are just beginning, and the importance of dialogue between adults and children.
