Maxim Osipov is a writer and doctor, born in 1963 in Moscow. He has been writing and publishing since 2007. He is the author of six collections of prose and the winner of several awards for short fiction. Osipov’s stories, short stories, and essays have been translated into 20 languages. Until 2022, he lived in Tarusa, and at the beginning of the war, he left for Germany; since autumn 2022, he has been teaching Russian literature at Leiden University as a visiting writer and lives in Amsterdam. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the magazine “Fifth Wave”.
