The publishing house "IMKA-Press" and the magazine "Vestnik RKhD" are old-timers of the Russian emigration. Their parallel history lasts from 1925, exactly one hundred years.
In his speech, historian Viktor Aleksandrov, a member of the editorial board of the "Bulletin", will briefly talk about the parallel history of the legendary Parisian publishing house "IMCA-Press" and the oldest magazine of the post-revolutionary Russian emigration, and will also present the latest, 217th issue of the "Bulletin".
The meeting is attended by Melania Rakovich-Struve, who has managed the Russian bookstore Les Editeurs Réunis and the YMCA-PRESS publishing house in Paris since 2016.
She participated in the design and creation of the exhibitions "The Gulag Archipelago, a Literary Explosion" (2017), "Pyotr Struve and Ivan Bunin, the Story of a Friendship" (2022) and "The Gulag Archipelago on the Hill of Sainte-Geneviève, 50 Years of World Publication". She takes part in organizing literary evenings at the Alexander Solzhenitsyn Cultural Center in Paris.
