The authors' works can be fiction, autobiographical, or documentary—but always with high demands on the quality of language, design, and content: rich, witty, and serious.
The goal of zeitkind is to publish four to eight books a year, either text-only or with a visual component.

Publisher Gabriela Merz, born in 1968 in Zurich, studied German studies, philosophy, and theater studies in Zurich, Bern, and Graz, as well as acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. She worked as a playwright in Graz, director, journalist, and high school teacher in Zurich. In 2024, she took the plunge into publishing.
