Works in book, magazine, and advertising illustration. His illustrations have appeared in Courrier International, Wired, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Illustoria, and Novaya Gazeta.
Yulia Drobova won the Bologna Book Fair illustration competition five times in a row, from 2021 to 2026. In 2025, she received the Book Artist nomination for her illustrations to "Horses" at Non/Fiction, and this work was also a finalist in the Korean illustration competition NAMI Concours. In 2026, "Horses" was shortlisted for The Braw Amazing Bookshelf at the Bologna Book Fair.
In 2020, she became a finalist in the Golden Pinwheel illustration competition, and in 2023, she was included in the 2023 Golden Pinwheel's catalog of the 100 best illustrators for 2017-2021. She has conducted workshops and master classes in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Italy, Austria, and Germany. She collaborates with the publishing houses ACHSE Verlag, A+A, and Samokat.
