Arseniy Rovinsky was born in 1968 in Kharkiv. He studied at the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. He has lived in Copenhagen since 1991. He has been publishing poetry since 1997, with his first collection published in 1999. At the turn of the 2000s and 2010s, he, along with Fyodor Svarovsky and Leonid Shvab, was a key figure in the poetic movement known as the "new epic." He is the author of seven books.
