Anna Glazova was born in Dubna in 1973. She studied and taught in Germany and the USA, and defended her dissertation on the poetry of Osip Mandelstam and Paul Celan. She has published seven books of poetry: "Let It Be Water" (2003), "The Loop. Not Half" (2008), "For a Shrew" (2013), "An Experience of Sleep" (2014), "The Earth Lies on the Earth" (2016), "Face Number" (2020), and "Hecate" (2024). She has translated into Russian the prose of Unica Zürn, Robert Walser, and Franz Kafka, theoretical texts by Walter Benjamin, Franz Rosenzweig, and Werner Hamacher, the poetry of Paul Celan and Günther Eich, and others. She was awarded the Andrei Bely Prize (2013) for her book of poems "For a Shrew." Lives in Hamburg.
