Anastasia Patlai is a director of documentary productions at Teatr.doc, the Meyerhold Center, the Sakharov Center, and the Museum of Architecture in Moscow, as well as the Globus Theater in Novosibirsk. She left Russia in 2022. In 2023, she became the first artist-in-residence of the "Artists at Risk" program at the Brecht House Museum in Augsburg and staged the play "Memoria" specifically for the 2024 Brechtfestival. Since 2024, she has been one of the artistic directors of the independent Lyubimovka drama festival. Patlai also works on educational projects and teaches documentary playwriting on the Un/Told course.
