Journalism, prose and drama have been translated into English, German, French, Persian, Japanese, Ukrainian, Estonian, Finnish, Slovak and Polish.
Laureate of several prestigious Russian awards in the field of literature and journalism: “Golden Ostap” (St. Petersburg, 1996), “Golden Pen of Russia” (1997), “Journalism as an Action” (2003).
The creator of the cult satirical television programs "Kukly" and "Itogo," which aired in Russia in the 1990s. He is a two-time winner of Russia's highest television award, TEFI (1996 and 2000). Following the liquidation of the independent press in Russia, he began publishing online. He was nominated for the first Boris Nemtsov Foundation Prize (for courage). He is also a laureate of the Moscow Helsinki Group Prize in the category "For the Defense of Human Rights Through Culture and Art." According to the Russian Federation, he is a foreign agent and a terrorist. He currently resides in Poland.
