Vadim Fadin is a poet and writer. He is a member of the PEN Club, the Moscow Writers' Union, the German Writers' Union "Verband Deutscher Schriftsteller," and the Association of Russian-Speaking Writers in Germany (SLoG). He was born in 1936 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute. He worked in missile testing, and since 1976 in public relations. In 1998, he hosted his own literary program on Russian television in Berlin. He has published numerous poetry and prose works in magazines in Russia and other countries, including the novellas "Dark Water in the Clouds" and "Who Looks at the Clouds." He has also translated from Estonian and Italian. His poetry books include "Paths of Trees," "The Line," and "The Thread of Being," and the novels "The Weeping of the Shepherds," "Seven Beggars Under One Blanket," and "Snow for Sale in the South." Laureate of the M. Aldanov Prize in 2008. In Germany since 1996. Lives in Berlin.
