We announce the second Berlin Book Fair as an independent, horizontal volunteer project, which will be held with the help of our friends, volunteers, and partners.
It will be very Berlin-style, very lively and intense!
Our informal slogan is “down with the bubble”, age-specific, national, party-related.
Our main guests are publishers and their new books, the most important events are book premieres and meetings with authors.
We're once again preparing a large and very rich program, which we'll be revealing gradually. We'd like our headliners in 2026 to be young authors and new names, so that it will include many events for young people, and so that the fair will be about the present and the future – in the presence of experienced masters.
We want to attract maximum international attention to this event and promote the integration of Russian-speaking authors into the European and Berlin context.
We believe that such a fair, presenting uncensored Russian-language literature, is important not only for the émigré community, but for the entire field of Russian-language literature.
The terrible war in Ukraine continues with impunity, and the dictatorship in Russia remains strong. In this situation, we believe it is imperative to contribute in every way to building a long-term cultural resistance to these troubles and to be a part of it.
Entry to the fair will be free.
