The "Through the Wall" charitable foundation helps Ukrainian prisoners of war and their mothers. For many families, the foundation has become the only link between Ukrainian families and their children, who are being tortured and killed in Russian prison camps. Through incredible means, the foundation's staff and its founder, Anastasia Shevchenko, search for these sons, relay messages from and to them, compile lists of patients who need urgent help, and raise money for food, clothing, and medicine. The foundation also helps Russian political prisoners.
The Foundation uses all its resources to ensure that prisoners of war and political prisoners detained in Russia receive the most essential assistance for survival and dignity.
Today, approximately 7 Ukrainian military personnel and more than 14 civilians remain in Russian captivity.
Every contribution – no matter how small – saves lives and reminds detained Ukrainians and Russian political prisoners that they are not forgotten.
